On the blocking board

I’m still waiting for the final background checks to come through, so I still don’t know when I’m going to start my new job, it could be any minute now or Monday. So while I sit here waiting for the phone to ring, actually it’s my cell phone I’m waiting to hear news on, so I don’t really have to sit here, I’m getting some last minute before-I-start-work knitting done.

Case in point: DH’s sweater is on the new blocking board.

Details you’ll get when post the FO, just proof that I’m not letting any knitting time go to waste, while I wait.

Eris is the next sweater to be finished, I’m still knitting on socks somewhere in the midsts of all this, and I’m going to cast on the swatch for my Dale sweater.

This weekend promises to be very busy, so if I don’t start work until Monday, at least I won’t have much time to think about it. The Knit Off ’07 Round 3 kicks off tomorrow, with an as yet to be disclosed pattern that calls for 360 yards of DK weight yarn, of which I have plenty off, so more stash will be used. I’ve got a Domino Knitting Class on tomorrow as well, with Susanna Hansson, just down the street, but it’s a 7 hour class, so that will tie up most of tomorrow. Sunday will be filled with fiber goodness, meeting a blog friend at an LYS then maybe more shopping or possibly spinning. Oh I just found out one of my LYS’s is going out of business and is having a going out of business sale on Sunday as well.

Where to begin? Congrats again on the new job. Fingers crossed everything works out with the background checks. DH’s sweater looks awesome. (what number is this? 5?) Kick ass in the Knit Off. Have fun at your class tomorrow. And on Sunday! Oooh, yarn sale – how are the deals? (we’ve all been very, very bad with the Knit Happens and Black Sheep Knittery sales down here!)

DH’s sweater looks like it’s gonna be great. What? More yarn? You deserve it because you got a jay-oh-bee! Good luck on the knit off. Go Marie Go!
