Antoher pair of socks.

DH stepped in last night, just before my laptop was about to take a flying leap out a 2nd story window. My may laptop is back up and running, and look I even have pics of my latest pair of socks for the SAM KALIII.

Yarn: Trekking XXL, I’m not sure the colorway, the ball band is long lost.
Needles: Addi Turbo’s #0 – Magic Loop 2 socks at once.
Pattern: generic toe up.

This is for Christie (I think she’s sadly blogless and she’s not a knitter yet, but I’m working on it). Shes a friend from FertilityFriend.com If you followed my blog when I was on blogger this pic will look familiar, it’s my Christmas sock round up. I’m using it again because a question came up on hand painted yarns and how they knit up, so here goes:

The 4 socks to the right of the Clapotis are hand painted, 2 are Koigu and one is a local artist. The 2 to the top left are Trekking XXL, and I believe machine dyed, someone please correct me if I’m wrong on that. The Clapotis in the middle is machine dyed, as opposed to hand painted.

Hope that and the explanation on the FF board help to clear things up a bit for you Christie.

    Hurray for april socks. I’m working on mine right now… Sweet Georgia’s speed demon sock yarn in Elf. Gotta get it done before next Monday!

    Nice new socks, and congrats on keeping up with SAM KAL III. I am on the NSAM DKAL (that’s the No Socks Any Month, Don’t Knit Along!) and keeping up my end of the challenge quite nicely!
