It’s a wonder I get any knitting done…

With the amount of time I’ve been spinning lately, no wonder I have no knitting progress to report.

The latest off my wheel.

Both pics are of the same skein, I couldn’t decide which background showed off the colors better, it’s a very pastelly skein.

Fiber: Optim - a sheer joy to spin, very soft very easy draft. Optim is stretched merino. The resulting fiber is silk like and feels soft as cashmere, but with a longer staple, so no halo effect.  The stretching process produces a very soft luscious fiber.

Color: This is the result of a Koolaid dying party with my Stitch and Bitch group last summer. I don’t even remember what flavors were thrown in there. Before I spun I was convinced that I would have to over dye it, now that it’s spun up it’s turned into a lovely pastel springy color. It’s so light, it’s hard to capture in pictures, but you get the general idea.

It’s 2 ply and about 200 yards or so.
