It’s my lucky day

No I didn’t win the round and move to the next round in the Knit Off but there has been some luck in my day today.

I did win the Lottery…that is the lottery to be in Scout’s Indie Club. Money has been spent and I will be waiting with baited breath to see what lovely yarn is to come to me in the mail in the coming months. Don’t worry, I’ll be sharing at least pics of the yarn as it comes in.

I was also on a wait list to get into Susanna Hansson’s Domino Scarf from Japan Class. Susanna is coming to teach at my closest LYS, Main Street Yarn, a mere 1.8 miles from my front door. Their web site is very new and still under construction, so you won’t see much there now. Well I got the call this afternoon that there was an opening, and I was out the door like a shot to sign up for the class.

Sorry no knitting pics, so I’ll leave you with this instead:

These are my baby girls, Thelma and Louise. Louise is on top, not surprising since she is the Alpha kitty in this house, and her litter mate Thelma is below, she’s the one who so kindly sits with with knitting on her. Louise is a bit on the skitty side, she’ll run from her own shadow. Thelma on the other hand thinks she’s starving for love, she will sit there on my lap with yarn running across the top of her nose and not touch it as long as you love on her occasionally. The black and white quilt is one of mine. The afghan they love so much, is actually the only one in this house that I didn’t make, it was a wedding shower gift from the mother of one of my high school friends. Even she guessed that I was partial to purple.

Gotta love those little twin girls! They sure know how to pose! Congrats on the Swag and on the Susanna Hansson class… you’ll love the Domino Knitting technique!

Too bad about the knit off but hurray for Scout’s swag club. I only signed up for 1 month this year as I have oodles of sock yarn coming out of my ears.
