Mad ripper strikes again and again and again…
My CPH got waylaid by the mad ripper this weekend. Sleeve one is done and has been done since yesterday morning, Sleeve 2 had run into some problems. I managed to get 4″ of the the ribbing done, only to find I was knitting on the larger of the 2 needles, instead of the smaller of the 2 as was used with all ribbing to date, so RRRRRIIIIIPPPPP!. Ok, minor set back, I got the ribbing knit.
While on the way to dinner last night and while waiting for a table, I got 2 inches past the the ribbing, only to find somehow I managed to really mess up the cable, yes I did try to save it, but that simply wasn’t happening… RRRRRIIIIIPPPPP!
Attempt #3, ribbing done, I didn’t rip the ribbing out, but just back to the last row of ribbing. I made some serious progress today, 9″ past the ribbing as a matter of fact. Guess who forgot to change out the needles after the end of the ribbing…..RRRRRRIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPP!!!!!
3 strikes, this sleeve is going in to a 24 hour time out, I have a feeling that if I keep knitting on it before the end of the 24 hours, I’ll be ripping again.
Updates on the challenged, KnitDevil has been knocked out by a bad sinus infection and a case of knitting with sandpaper.  Mehitable is still struggling along, but hasn’t had much time to knit on CPH, what with getting ready for a well deserved trip to France next week. Wow, I certainly hope DimSum is having more luck with this than the lot of us, at this rate she actually stands a good chance of finishing before we do, and she declined to enter the challenge.

Oh sure, bring me into it, even though I’m not playing along.
Hope CPH behaves for you tomorrow. What did you knit today instead? Enough socks for a millipede?

Oh no. I suppose I should be grateful for the respite, but somehow I just can’t bring myself to be glad you’ve had such an awful time of it. Maybe it’s just a @#%(&*^! pattern after all!

Okay, I’ve officially declared CPH a Bermuda Triangle of knitting. It’s, like, the easiest pattern in the world, and you and I keep having to rip it out…what’s UP with THAT?! Sorry to hear about all your sleeve pain. I’ve been knitting on my Flower Basket…Koigu aaahhh…so gentle on the hands. But I gotta get back to it, esp. if you lure Mary into the contest, too.

I’ve lost count of how many times I’ve ripped back the CPH. Is the pattern just so easy we get carried away? I did exactly the same thing tonight on the knitting up several inches on the smaller needles after the ribbing on my sleeve. rrriiipp indeed! Hope it gets better soon
