This Lady Knits

It’s here, it’s here! DH and I took a drive yesterday and picked up my new wheel, visited with some friends and had a good day.

Here she is in all her glory, please note Seattle sun has made an appearance for this photo shoot, my new Schacht Matchless.

Look what else followed me home with the wheel, a Schacht Flip Loom, It was a store model, so it’s already warped and there is a scarf started. The owner of the store gave me enough yarn to finish it, her part looks much better than the part I’m working on, but it’s an easy way to learn. She also gave me a quick lesson in weaving on this loom.

In the mail when I got home, Scouts Swag of the month, it’s it lovely sitting there basking on the nice green grass in the warm (ok, so it’s only 60 degrees out) Seattle sun. The colorway is Lavender Mint, and included this month was a tin of Heal My Hands in Lavender mint, some Lip Balm and something else, that I’m sure I’m fogetting at this point.

As if I didn’t spend enough this weekend, I went to have my car looked at, something about the fuel cap, just had to have the computer reset but better safe than sorry, and gee, I got there at lunch time, so all the service techs were gone for an hour. A mere 10 minutes away from the dealer is an LYS that is closing shop, so my car decided, let’s go there to kill some time before someone could fix her. My CC conspired and I ended up leaving with this bag.

It’s full of Dale Heilo (46 balls) at 30% off. There’s enough in there to make 4 sweaters, there are 4 different dye lots in there in 4 colors. As if I really needed more yarn. I wonder how that all got in the trunk of my car, I certainly don’t remember putting it there.
